BCCNL invites you to submit your work to our Youth Exhibition.

What are the requirments to be apart of the BCCNL Youth Exhibition?

Applicants must:

  • Be of African descent (A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa) or identify as Black.

  • Be of middle school and high school age.

  • Live or attend school in Region 8 (encompasses twelve parishes in the Northeast section of the state: Caldwell, East Carroll, Franklin, Jackson, Lincoln, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, Tensas, Union, and West Carroll.)

    Why should I submit to be apart of a BCCNL exhibition?

BCCNL is a unique organization holding an anomalous position in the NELA art community. We are committed to increasing the visibility of black creative folk in this area. Therefore, this group exhibition presents a diverse mix of works from paintings to mixed media with a narrative drawn from the personal experiences of each artist. The collection will include original works, prints, and drawings.

How many people will see the exhibition?

We expect over 400 guests from Monroe/West Monroe region, the surrounding areas in the 12 Northeast, LA parishes, and beyond to visit our space in Sugar Gallery via workshops, meetups, gallery tours, the Downtown Gallery Crawl, and more fantastic events.

How do I submit for the exhibition?

All submissions must be made through Artist Application Exhibition link - bit.ly/45xrhin.

Please note a limited number of pieces will be on view in Sugar Gallery.

September 1, 2023, 10 PM - ENTRY SUBMISSION DEADLINE

The artist is responsible for the delivery of artwork.
